The vines grow on a very special and unique side in Iphofen called Sparrnbach. It’s our own monopoly side - we are the only ones who are allowed to grow vines there. We re-cultivated this beautiful area 10 years ago.
The soil - very stony and a mixture out of shell limestone and Keuper. Pressed on the old basket press and fermented in small barrels. We kept the Chardonnay 22 months on the full lees in the barrels to let him develop his full potential.
